Warrnambool Base Hospital is now equipped with brand-new StaminaLift TS5000 Transfer Systems! 💪🏥

It was great to be on-site for the commissioning and staff training, ensuring the team is ready to get the most out of their new equipment.

Instead of checking into a hotel, we decided to do things a little differently and rolled into Warrnambool with the camping trailer! Who says business trips can’t include a bit of adventure? 🚙

The end of an era at RIHA Industries! 🏭❤️

Today we say goodbye to our trusty conventional milling machine, and it’s definitely a bittersweet moment.

This machine was one of the very first major investments we made when we started RIHA Industries. Over the years, it’s played a huge role in our manufacturing journey and has always held a special place in Nic’s heart.

It’s been part of countless projects, challenges, and milestones along the way. Seeing it lifted out of our workshop today was a reminder of just how far we’ve come.

But as one chapter closes, another exciting one begins! 🚀

Early next year, a brand-new CNC machine will take its place, marking another major step forward in our manufacturing capabilities.

We’re proud of where we started, excited about where we’re heading, and committed to continuing to invest in Australian manufacturing. 🇦🇺

When one major South Australian hospital wiped out bed-transit injuries entirely—dropping from 20 per cent to zero in just two years—they didn't knock down a single wall to do it. Anyone who’s ever wrestled a 500-kilo acute care bed through a heritage corridor knows the daily toll manual handling takes on staff and doorframes alike. Turns out, overcoming the notorious 'cornering crisis' in our tightest hospital wings doesn't require a massive structural rebuild, but rather a clever engineering shift that adds barely 200 millimetres to the equation.

One happy customer!

Today, the Memorial Hospital took delivery of their custom-made RIHA bin mover, designed and built right here in Adelaide.

This unit features two large access doors and was built using our new RIHA frame technology, focusing on bonded components rather than traditional welding. The result is a strong, clean and practical design tailored to the hospital’s exact requirements.

A key part of the brief was to minimise vibration and noise so staff can use the bin mover at night without unnecessary disruption.

A special shout-out goes to our product technician Cody, who took on the challenge of designing and building this impressive piece of engineering from the ground up.

Projects like this highlight the value of local design and manufacturing, giving healthcare facilities the ability to get equipment made to suit their real-world needs.
