This smile was ear to ear. 😁

I got an email today that had me literally dancing around my kitchen.

My client dreamt about seeing the Aurora light up the sky. She took the leap and booked the trip.

And last night, she took the most glorious photos of herself standing under the Northern Lights with an even bigger smile on her face. Absolutely glowing.

This is genuinely my favourite part of what I do. Not the planning (although I love that too). Its this moment. When a dream becomes a lifelong memory and reminder of just how awesome life is.

Those dreams on your bucket list? They're not wishful thinking. They're moments waiting for you.

We now advise do not travel to Israel, Lebanon, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain. We continue to advise do not travel to Iran, Iraq, Syria and Yemen. Reconsider your need to travel to Jordan. Military strikes and reprisal attacks have occurred in a number of locations in the Middle East. There is a risk of further reprisal attacks and escalation across the region. Local security situations could deteriorate. Airspace closures and flight disruptions are already occurring across the region and may impact flights globally, causing delays and cancellations. Contact your airline to confirm your flights.

Do you have a trip coming up and you feeling unsure what will happen now with the latest airstrikes?

Here's what we know so far:

‼️The aviation landscape in the Middle East has shifted dramatically over the last few hours following US-Israeli strikes on Iran and subsequent retaliatory missile fire. Airspace across the heart of the Gulf is now effectively closed to commercial traffic.

🔴 Immediate Airspace Closures
The following countries have suspended all civilian flight operations and closed their airspaces:
Iran, Iraq, & Israel: Total closure following active military engagements.
United Arab Emirates (UAE): All airspace is closed. Authorities have issued shelter-in-place orders in some areas following missile interceptions.
Qatar & Bahrain: Airspace is closed. Alarms have been reported in Doha and Manama; all civilian traffic has been cleared.
Kuwait: Airspace is closed until further notice due to the regional security situation.

⚠️ Major Hub Impact
Dubai (DXB) & Abu Dhabi (AUH): Operations have come to an absolute standstill. Thousands of travelers are currently stranded. Most major carriers (Lufthansa, Wizz Air, Air India) have cancelled all flights to these hubs through at least March 7.
Doha (DOH): Air traffic is suspended. No flights are arriving or departing as Qatar Airways has officially grounded its home fleet until the situation stabilizes.
Riyadh & Jeddah (RUH/JED): Saudi airspace remains the only open corridor in the immediate region. It is currently handling extreme congestion as the sole North-Southeastern route for all global transit.

🗺️ Rerouting & Global Impact
The "Middle East Corridor" is currently impassable. Flights between Europe and Asia are being forced into massive diversions:
Northern Route: Through Central Asia and the Caucasus.
Southern Route: Circumnavigating the entire Arabian Peninsula via the Arabian Sea and Africa.
Flight Times: Expect increases of 4 to 8 hours on long-haul routes. Many flights are currently turning back to their origin airports mid-flight.

I love booking adventures for all these epic women out there, living their best selves, seeing the world, and ticking off their life goals one adventure at a time.

Today has been all about chasing the Northern lights. I’m keeping all my fingers and toes crossed that she gets to see the Aurora on her trip.

And just quietly, it’s pretty epic to have a quick paddle board out the front on my lunch break too. Luckily I don’t have any zoom catch ups today sitting here in my wet tshirt 🤭

Anyone travelling to the Phillipines or Vietnam over the next few days, have a read below. Stay safe.

Tropical Cyclones are expected to impact and the in coming days. Other countries in the region may also be affected. These severe weather events could interrupt your travel plans. Heavy rain, flash flooding, landslides and dangerous winds are expected. Essential services may be disrupted, with flight cancellations and airport closures possible. If you’re travelling, contact your airline or travel provider. Check media for updates and follow the instructions of authorities.

Meet our newest neighbour over the back fence. Audrey.
She comes up to say hello to us whenever we are in the backyard. I cant help but pick her all the grass. Look at that face.

We went away for a few days, and as soon as we got home, she ran up to use and made the cutest donkey noises.

When you work in travel, your little ones grow up looking at beautiful places all over the world and making the longest bucket list known to mankind.

Our 4 year old today wasn’t just asking if we could go there one day but picking out homes for us to buy.

The kid does have great taste.
