🚛 HGV Class 1 Driver – UK & International Work

Location: Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire
Position: HGV Class 1 Driver
Employment: Full-time

We’re a small, family-run transport business based in Burton-on-Trent, and we’re looking for an experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team.

This is a varied role, with a mixture of UK flat work, UK refrigerated work and the occasional international trip. You’ll also be working unsocial hours, so flexibility is essential.

The role
- UK flat work
- UK refrigerated (fridge) work
- Occasional international trips
- Day and night work, including unsocial hours
- Varied work — no two weeks are necessarily the same
- Your own dedicated truck

What we’re looking for:
- Full HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
- CPC and digital tachograph card
- Previous HGV driving experience
- Experience with flat work and/or fridge work would be an advantage
- International driving experience is desirable but not essential
- Reliable, responsible and professional attitude
- Comfortable working unsocial hours
- Good communication and customer-service skills
- Someone who takes pride in their truck and their work

Kev’s family have asked us to share the funeral details with everyone, and would very much love as many friends to attend as possible to give Kev the send off he deserves❤️

Kev will be taking his final journey on a Fellows truck, just as he would have wanted 🚛❤️

His funeral will take place on Friday 11th September 2026 at 12:30pm at Telford Crematorium, address below:

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the heartbreaking news that our driver, colleague and friend, Kevin Turford, has sadly passed away. 💔

Kev was so much more than a driver to us, he was part of the family and a true friend to so many. His kindness, hard work, loyalty and the person he was will never be forgotten. It was such an honour to know and work alongside him.

Our thoughts, love and deepest condolences are with Kevin’s family, friends and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time. Heaven has gained a true legend, we will be raising a Guinness and black in your honour 🍺

Rest peacefully, Kev. You will be missed more than words can say. ❤️

What a fantastic weekend we’ve had at Convoy in the Park! 🚛🍺

A huge thank you to all of our drivers for taking such pride in the trucks – they looked absolutely brilliant. Also a massive thank you to our drivers who didn’t want to attend, and kept the wheels turning over the weekend 🥰

This show was also the very first outing for our brand new Volvo FH780, which was only delivered on Wednesday! A big thank you to Mick at Moody International for the great vehicle, our sign writer Nigel at Eyden Signs for turning the sign writing around so quickly, and Davide Fabiano from Shobnall CVR for carrying out it’s first inspection before we put it on the road.
