🚧 New Hall Farm Lane, Lower Stoke – Resurfacing complete ✅

We’ve recently completed resurfacing works on New Hall Farm Lane, Lower Stoke. Thank you for your patience while this was carried out.

We know road surface conditions are a concern for many residents. Roads wear out over time – especially with heavy use and the impact of British weather 🌧️❄️. Keeping our network safe is an ongoing task, and not something that ever finishes.

💷 Medway’s highways repair budget is £5.72 million. While that sounds significant, it must cover:

🛣️ Over 3,500 roads – across our towns and rural areas
🏗️ 112,000 highway assets, including the Medway Tunnel

This finite budget also funds resurfacing, reactive repairs, streetlights 💡, gully cleaning 🌧️, kerbs, bridges 🌉, road signs 🚏 and more.

Take a look at the webpage to find out how this budget is being used - the work completed to date and what's planned for the remainder of the year: https://orlo.uk/LK3QX

Thank you for your understanding as we continue this work across Medway.

🚚 HGVs have limited vision — stay out of their ‘no‑zones’.

👀 Know the zones when approaching or overtaking.
➡️ Don’t linger beside an HGV — overtake and move past safely.
📏 Give space before moving back in.
⛔ Never tailgate — if you can’t see their mirrors, they can’t see you.
