The boat has a white GRP hull with a white superstructure and decks with non-slip surfaces, stainless steel stanchions, a pulpit, and a self-draining cockpit. The B&G navigation equipment includes a 2021 Depth Gauge, a 2021 Speed/Log, a 2023 Windspeed/Direction, a 2021 fixed VHF Radio, and a Vulcon 7 chart plotter.

The yacht was last out of the water in May 2025 to check and clean the copper coating, hull polish, and anodes replacement. All MSBA members should have this afternoon received your invitation to the next MSBA Business meeting including Peel Ports River Users forum on 24th March

This will be an interesting meeting including a debate on the abolition of the River Medway Conservancy fee to bring the River Medway in line with Peel Ports decision on the Clyde. This debate is being scheduled in a MSBA meeting as Peel Ports have refused to response to requets to discuss the issue for more than two months.

The meeting will also discuss Peel Ports plans in the short and long term to implement the Environment Agencies human waste requirements for all Houseboats on the River Medway following its confirmation that Peel Ports are required to implement and police the EAs requirements.

There will also be an update from Kent Police relating to current crime on the river and the implementation of two new PWCs on the river.

All our cruises are suitable for novices or “old salts” alike. Of course, we can’t guarantee the weather and it’s
important to remember that these are adventurous sailing trips that could involve some discomfort if the sea is
rough. But there is great satisfaction in meeting these challenges and our skippers make sure that safety is our top
priority.

RYA QUALIFICATIONS
We can’t provide any qualifications during our Adventure Sailing trips, but you will gain valuable sea miles and build
your sailing confidence and knowledge.

DO I NEED TO HAVE ANY SAILING QUALIFICATIONS TO JOIN AN ADVENTURE SAILING TRIP?
No, all levels of experience are welcomed on board. You do need to have a willingness to get involved, be an active crew member and want to learn how to sail and improve your knowledge. We don’t consider Adventure Sailing to be a holiday. It’s an active sailing adventure for those who want new experiences, to sail with likeminded people, learn and explore unusual places.
