As much as we don’t want to think about our adventure coming to an end, we need to do some planning to make sure Finn has his paperwork signed and has his tapeworm tablet in the right timeframe, so we drove 140 miles northwest to Rennes to get us closer to our final destination.
The Camping des Gayeulles was a good find, with easy access to the wooded park next door with a Guinguette overlooking the lake.
We walked in to Rennes as Finn wasn’t allowed on the bus, and dogs have to be carried in a bag on the Metro and we didn’t have a bag big enough!! Hubster did suggest we get a big bag and cut four holes for his legs so he would technically be in a bag lol 🤭
The historic centre of Rennes was fab to walk around, and we had a delicious Plat du Jour. Everyone we’ve met has been brilliant with Finn, and he usually gets served before us, but we were unlucky enough to meet an unhelpful taxi driver who said Finn would have to travel in the boot of his saloon car 😡. 40 degree temperatures are expected in the next few days, so we plan to head north to the coast where it is cooler.
