A couple of weeks ago we had the pleasure of taking Jess out with us while delivering sanitary products to some of our wonderful community partners.

Kind hearted Jess had been looking for somewhere to volunteer over the summer before returning to her fashion studies, so we introduced her to a few of the organisations we donate to, including Reloved, the Baby Bank, St Aidan’s Church and The Book Hogg.

It was lovely to see how inspired she was by the idea of pre-loved clothing and giving items a second life. We’re delighted that she’s since signed up to volunteer with Reloved – a fantastic outcome from what was just a day of showing her the great work happening in town❤️

The day was made even more special because Jess’s grandad has generously supported our period poverty campaign every year. It was wonderful to show her exactly where those donations go, the people they help, and the difference they make across our community.

A huge thank you to all of our partner organisations for the incredible work you do every day. We’re so proud to support you, and we hope Jess has a fantastic time volunteering and inspiring others to get involved too. 💙

Today, Joel and Liam continued their learning experience with us by exploring where the everyday products we use actually come from.

After learning about international trade and researching different countries, they chose to look at Iceland and discovered that one of its biggest exports is fish. To put their learning into practice, we popped into a local shop to see if what they’d learned matched what was on the shelves… and sure enough, they found fish imported from Iceland! It’s a great way to see how global trade connects countries and brings products from around the world to our local communities.

The afternoon was spent learning another important part of running a business – giving back. The lads joined us in distributing sanitary products to some fantastic organisations across Hartlepool as part of Hogg Global’s ongoing period poverty campaign.

We were also treated to a lovely surprise when Liam’s mam kindly dropped off a selection of homemade cakes for the team. They certainly didn’t last long! Thank you so much for your kindness – they were absolutely delicious.

International trade is about so much more than moving goods from A to B. It’s about understanding the world around us, building connections, and recognising the positive impact businesses can have on the communities they serve.

Well done, Joel and Liam – another brilliant day of learning!

🌍 A great first day of work experience at Hogg Global! 📦

Joining us are our very own “Young Hogg in Training”, Joel, alongside his friend Liam for the first day of their two-day work experience placement.

They’ve had a behind-the-scenes look at the world of international trade, learning more about logistics, customs, imports, exports and the many different roles involved in keeping global supply chains moving.

At Hogg Global, we’re passionate about supporting young people and giving them opportunities to experience the workplace, develop new skills and discover careers they may never have considered.

We’re looking forward to welcoming them back tomorrow for day two and showing them even more about the exciting world of international trade.

Unfortunately, we weren’t able to attend the Hartlepool Heroes Awards in person, but I was incredibly proud to have two very special people represent me – Bev and Steve.

They got dressed up, attended on my behalf, and shared in what was a wonderful evening celebrating the incredible people making a difference across our town. Their support means more than they know, and I’m so grateful they were there to represent both me and Hogg Global.

While I didn’t take home the award, I was honoured to be shortlisted alongside so many inspiring people. As part of the evening, the PFC Trust kindly awarded £100 to a cause of my choice.

There was no hesitation in where it would go.

That £100 will be used to purchase sanitary products for our ongoing period poverty campaign, helping us continue to support women and girls in our local community. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference.

A huge thank you to the organisers, the PFC Trust for their generosity, and congratulations to all of the finalists and winners. Hartlepool is full of people who quietly go above and beyond for others every single day, and it’s a privilege to be part of such a caring community. ❤️

One of our family members recently made a £500 donation to our period poverty campaign and I’d like to publicly say thank you.

He’d rather not be named, which is exactly why I think he deserves a mention.

The donation has helped us purchase sanitary products that will go directly back into our local community, supporting people who may otherwise struggle to access these essential items.

Acts of kindness like this remind me just how lucky we are to have such wonderful people supporting the work we do.

Thank you, Uncle. You know who you are. ❤️

Also a huge shout out to Mrs H’s friends who continue to bring her bags of sanitary products or donations for the same every time she meets them. You are truly making a difference 🫶

Today, Hogg Global Logistics Ltd turns 7 🎉

Seven years ago, we started with a vision, a lot of determination, and a belief that a Hartlepool business could compete on a global stage. Since then, what a journey it has been 🌍✈️🚢🚛

✈️ Invested in advanced customs systems and in-house clearance capabilities, including airport badges across UK airports

🤝 Helped businesses navigate huge challenges including Brexit, global supply chain disruption and changing international trade rules

❤️ Supported our community through initiatives including our period poverty campaign and The Book Hogg, proving business can be about much more than profit

📚 Seen The Book Hogg grow from one small library box into an award-winning project that has inspired wider community rollouts

🇺🇦 Coordinated humanitarian aid efforts and supported causes close to our hearts both locally and internationally

Most importantly, we’ve built incredible relationships with customers, partners, suppliers, friends and supporters who have trusted us along the way.

Running a business is never easy. There have been long days, sleepless nights, difficult moments and lessons learned — but there have also been opportunities beyond anything we could have imagined.
