Around six months ago, we quietly introduced our new name, Dinostore Self Storage, with a brief announcement.

Since then, many of our customers have noticed the change, but we thought it was the right time to properly explain the story behind it.

After many successful years as Self Store Newcastle, we are proud to introduce our new name: Dinostore Self Storage.

Whilst our name has changed, the business behind it hasn't.

Our story began in 1965, when R. & J. Ince Ltd was founded as a family business. Over the past six decades, we've continually evolved to meet the needs of our customers – from our roots as a hardware store, through locksmith, timber mill, builders' merchant among other operations, and ultimately into self-storage.

As our business has grown beyond Newcastle and expanded into Carlisle, we reached a point where the name Self Store Newcastle no longer reflected who we are or where we're heading.

That's why we've become Dinostore Self Storage.

Our new name is memorable, instantly recognisable and, most importantly, gives us a brand that can grow with us for many years to come.

What hasn't changed is what matters most.

We're still the same family-owned business established in 1965. The same people. The same commitment to providing secure, reliable self-storage and putting our customers first.

To everyone who has supported us over the years, whether as R&J Ince, Self Store Newcastle or now as Dinostore Self Storage, thank you. Your trust has allowed our family business to grow for over 60 years, and we're incredibly excited for the next chapter.
