Quick one for today. When did you last actually check your passport's expiry date?

Not "I think it's fine", actually checked it.

Here's why it matters more than people realise. Lots of countries don't just want your passport to be valid for the dates you're travelling. Many require it to have at least six months left on it from your date of entry, sometimes longer. So a passport that looks perfectly fine on paper can still cause problems at check-in or border control if it's cutting it close.

It catches families out more than you'd think, especially with children's passports. Kids' passports are only valid for five years rather than ten, so they run out faster than anyone remembers, usually right around the time you've booked something exciting.

If you're thinking about half-term, Christmas markets, or anything later in the year, now is a genuinely good time to open that drawer and check every passport in the house, not just yours.

Renewals can take longer than expected too, so sorting it early means one less thing to worry about closer to the time.

Please have your wits about you when moving around Exeter International Airport
Exeter Airport has given its drop-off charges another exciting little upgrade. Not the terminal, not the facilities—just the price! 😂
Because nothing says “have a lovely holiday” quite like paying £8 for the privilege of stopping for up to 15 minutes!
The new charges are:

🚗 CAR PARK P1 – opposite the terminal
• Up to 15 minutes: £8
• 15–60 minutes: £15
• 1–4 hours: £20

So, if you’re using P1, make those hugs quick, have your luggage ready and try not to get stuck behind anyone who hasn’t worked out how the barrier operates! ⏱️
Our quoted transfer prices already include the airport drop-off and collection charges, so there won’t be an unexpected parking fee added when you travel.
Unfortunately, because Exeter Airport has increased its charges, our Exeter Airport transfer prices will also need to increase accordingly. This isn’t an increase we’ve chosen to make—it simply reflects the higher fee being charged to us by the airport.
We don’t control the charge and we don’t keep a penny—we merely enjoy the honour of paying it on your behalf!
At this rate, passengers won’t know whether they’ve booked a flight or made a small investment in the car park! 😂✈️

Right, this one's been debated in the Global Affair office more times than we'd like to admit.

Question is: Window or aisle seat?

Window seat, so you can watch the world disappear beneath you and have something to lean on for a nap.

Or aisle seat, so you're not climbing over anyone (or being climbed over) every time someone needs the loo.

Ali and Clare are firmly in one camp. We're not going to say which, but let's just say it's caused a few "friendly" conversations over the years with traveling partners 😂.

There's no wrong answer here, just personal preference, and maybe a bit of how tall you are or how many times your kids will need the toilet mid-flight.
