We're looking for a Class 1 (C+E) Driver to join the team at Mowlam Transport Ltd.

Based in Weymouth, Dorset, you'll be operating our modern wagon & drag vehicle, carrying palletised freight and construction materials across the UK. A large proportion of our work is in London and the South East, so we're looking for someone who enjoys varied work and takes pride in delivering a first-class service.

What we're looking for:

✅ Class 1 (C+E) Licence
✅ Driver CPC & Digital Tachograph Card
✅ Professional, reliable and customer-focused attitude
✅ Wagon & drag experience preferred (training can be provided for the right candidate)

Out with the old, in with the new... 🚛

After a year with our blue and white DAF, it was time for a change. Today we've collected the latest addition to the Mowlam Transport fleet – our Mercedes-Benz Actros wagon and drag.

This outfit gives us even more flexibility and capacity for palletised freight, stone deliveries and dedicated transport across the UK, helping us continue to provide the reliable service our customers expect.

A big thank you to everyone who's supported us so far. Here's to the next chapter for Mowlam Transport! 💙🧡

Mowlam Transport Ltd – Weymouth / Dorset

Mowlam Transport Ltd are looking for a reliable, experienced Class 2 (Rigid) HGV driver to join our growing team.
This is proper haulage work with a solid, family-run company — not agency hopping and not cutting corners.

🔧 THE ROLE
• UK work – local and distance depending on the day
• Curtainsiders, flats & general haulage
• Regular London work (must be comfortable going in)
• Early starts, some long days and occasional nights out
• Well-maintained rigid lorry
• Straight-talking, organised operation

✅ YOU MUST HAVE
• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Held Class 2 licence for minimum 2 years
• Aged 30+ (insurance requirement)
• Clean licence (no major endorsements)
• CPC & Digi Card
• Confident strapping, sheeting & securing loads
• Reliable, professional attitude
• Able to work independently

• You regularly call in sick
• You avoid London work
• You damage equipment and don’t take responsibility
• You need constant supervision
• You think you the size of the vehicle makes the driver

We will be saying goodbye to our Dad, Royston Mowlam, on:

📅 Friday 13th
⏰ 12:15pm
📍 Weymouth Crematorium

Bluebird Coaches have kindly put on a coach for anyone wishing to attend.

It will leave The Turks Head at 11:30am on Friday and will return there after the service.

We kindly ask that people do not park opposite the entrance to the crematorium, as we will be bringing Dad in on the lorry.

Formal dress would be appreciated where possible.

Anyone who knew Dad is welcome to come and pay their respects.

After the service, we will gather at The Lugger Inn to raise a glass, share stories and give him the send-off he deserves.

Mowlam Transport Ltd are looking for a reliable, experienced HGV driver to join our team.
This is proper work – not agency hopping, not sitting in lay-bys, not cutting corners.

🔧 THE JOB
• UK work – local & distance depending on the day
• Curtainsiders / flats / general haulage /London
• Early starts, some long days and nights out (this is haulage, not a 9–5)
• Well-maintained trucks
• Straight-talking company

✅ YOU MUST HAVE
• Valid HGV licence (Class 1 or Class 2)
• CPC & Digi card
• Experience strapping, sheeting & securing loads
• A good attitude
• Turn up when you say you will
• Able to crack on without being babysat

❌ THIS JOB IS NOT FOR YOU IF
• You’re always calling in sick
• You're Goldfish has a dentist appointment on a Wednesday afternoon every other week
• You moan about graft
• You damage kit and blame others
• You need chasing for basic tasks
• You won't do London
• You need to be pulling a 45ft trailer to make you a proper driver syndrome
