The end of this aviation season is a little extra sad. AvMom has taken too much time off work to accommodate going to events, and AvKid doesn’t like to go without her. With our family being down to 1 car and having other (quite massive) financial pressures, we’re skipping the 2027 season entirely. We’re still be resharing old posts, highlighting events for everyone else to explore, and wishing we were with you all at airports and in the sky. is on until 2028. all for your support, encouragement, and engagement.

Abby flew me for a flight today! The weather was perfect, and she knocked it out of the park and signed my certificate. This program adds to many kids’ at no cost to them. AvMom is sad our 2026 aviation season has come to a close, but the blue sky made a great bookend.

AvMom’s friend took one of our stickers on a fishing adventure all the way to Alaska! Alaska Airlines has beautiful planes flying over (and to!) the most picturesque places. This sticker got to meet sea planes, boats, and a HUGE halibut! 🐟🛫

We had no idea meeting this plane’s pilot would become one of the coolest airshow moments we’ve had. Phillip, you’re one nice guy, and we sincerely hope to scrub bugs off your planes someday!
