Yurt Owners: Before the weather turns, give your top and side covers five minutes.

Walk the outside and look at: seams, anywhere a branch has grown in close enough to rub, debris sitting where the roof meets the wall, and your dome seals.

None of it is urgent in August. All of it is a headache in December.

"Does a yurt get hot in summer?"

With the right setup they can be very comfortable. And Pacific Yurts are designed with this in mind.

The operable dome vent at the top of the structure acts as a natural chimney, drawing hot air up and out while cooler air circulates below. Paired with reflective insulation and thoughtful orientation, some customers find they rarely need air conditioning at all.
