CoCo Connections: Pueblo

Pueblo is where the Colorado Connector journey comes to a memorable finish, blending historic architecture, riverfront energy, and a downtown built for exploring. The future station will be anchored by the red sandstone Pueblo Union Depot and a reimagined historic Baggage Depot, bringing passenger rail back to the heart of southern Colorado.

Step off the train and into the Union Avenue Historic District, where 1890s-era buildings are now home to restaurants, shops, lofts, museums, and local culture. The Historic Arkansas Riverwalk, Pueblo Convention Center, and the city’s famous levee murals are all nearby, making it easy to turn a train trip into a full day downtown.

A future multimodal bridge will link the station directly to the Arkansas River Levee Trail, creating an easy connection for walking, biking, and taking in the scenery. With the station area designed as a catalyst for continued downtown revitalization, Pueblo is ready to welcome visitors from across the Front Range.

CoCo Connections: Denver Union Station

Denver Union Station is the heart of the Colorado Connector, where the energy of downtown, the convenience of regional transit, and the spirit of the mountains all come together. As the corridor’s central stop, it will connect riders from Fort Collins and Pueblo directly to one of Colorado’s most iconic gathering places.

Step inside the restored 1914 station and you’ll find the soaring Great Hall, the Crawford Hotel, and a lively mix of restaurants, bars, and shops. Just outside, the free 16th Street MallRide makes it easy to head into downtown for the State Capitol, sports, theater, shopping, and more.

From Union Station, the possibilities stretch in every direction. Connect to Denver International Airport, regional rail and bus service, Amtrak’s California Zephyr, or downtown’s bike and trail network along the South Platte River and Cherry Creek. Whether you’re heading into the city, out to the mountains, or continuing along the Front Range, Denver Union Station makes the journey part of the experience.

It’s time to take Coloradans straight to the action: the events they love, without the hassle they don’t.

The host railroads’ tracks already run right past some of the region’s biggest venues. So the District is looking into special-event service for those big days when thousands of fans pour in for the fun, which means a faster ride, zero parking drama, and not one minute spent staring at the bumper in front of you. Coloradans have been dreaming about this one out loud for years. We heard you!

Several planned stations already put you closer to the action: Denver Union Station is within walking distance of Coors Field (Colorado Rockies) and Ball Arena (Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche), and the Boulder station connects fans to the University of Colorado Buffaloes — among others. And the District is exploring exciting special-event stations. Still pending coordination with the host railroads and partners, they point to how the corridor could do even more and put riders’ destinations first

CoCo Connections: Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs is where Olympic spirit, mountain views, and downtown energy come together. The future Colorado Connector station will place riders steps from the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum, creating a gateway to one of the Front Range’s most iconic and adventure-filled cities.

From America the Beautiful Park and Monument Creek to Weidner Field and the Pikes Peak Center for the Performing Arts, there is always something to explore nearby. The growing Park Union district will bring even more homes, restaurants, open space, and activity to this exciting corner of downtown.

The Pikes Peak Greenway and Park Union Bridge make it easy to walk or bike between the station, downtown, and riverside trails, with scenic views of Pikes Peak along the way. Riders can also hop aboard the free ZEB downtown shuttle for simple access to local favorites, including Tejon Street, Weidner Field, Colorado College, and more.

CoCo Connections: Littleton

Littleton’s Mineral Station is where city access meets the outdoors. 

As the southern gateway to the Denver metro area, the future Colorado Connector platform will connect directly with RTD’s existing D Line, making it easy to move between regional light rail and intercity service in one convenient hub.

Just beyond the station, the South Platte River corridor offers an easy escape into nature. The Mary Carter Greenway runs along the river through open space, river views, and local favorites, while nearby connections to the High Line Canal and C-470 trails make this a standout destination for biking, running, walking, and exploring.

With nearby shopping, established neighborhoods, and new residential development continuing to grow around Mineral Avenue, Littleton is creating a more connected and vibrant place to arrive, explore, and head anywhere along the Front Range. City investments are already improving pedestrian and bike access between the station, surrounding neighborhoods, and the trail system.

CoCo Connections: Broomfield

Broomfield is where the Front Range comes together, with easy access to Denver, Boulder, mountain views, major employers, and a growing collection of places to live, work, and explore. The future Colorado Connector station at 116th Avenue will turn this long-planned transit hub into a seamless connection point for the entire region.

Just steps away, riders can connect to the Flatiron Flyer for quick trips to Denver, Boulder, Denver International Airport, and the Anschutz Medical Campus. The US 36 Bikeway also runs alongside the corridor, making it easy to bike between communities or enjoy a car-free day out.

Nearby Arista brings even more energy to the area, with restaurants, hotels, parks, health-care destinations, and entertainment all within reach. With new homes and mixed-use development taking shape around the station, Broomfield is becoming a vibrant place to arrive, connect, and discover what’s next on the Front Range.
