GoTriangle operates regional bus and shuttle service, paratransit services, ridematching and vanpools; provides commuter resources; an emergency ride home program; and helps implement future regional transit improvements.

I had the pleasure of meeting with GoTriangle’s Interim President Katharine Eggleston to discuss ways we can better support transit expansion across the Triangle region.

Our area is expected to continue the steep population growth that we have seen over the last decade, and we need to be equipped with the proper public transit options that will keep our communities connected.

🚲 Heads up bicyclists! Some e-bikes have oversized tires that may not fit securely in the bike racks on the outside of our buses. If your e-bike cannot be safely secured in the rack, it cannot be brought on board.

Get to Raleigh on the Wake Forest-Raleigh Express with GoTriangle!

The Wake Forest-Raleigh Express or WRX is an hourly all-day express bus service with stops at Downtown Wake Forest, Triangle Town Center, and Downtown Raleigh. Commuter parking is available in Downtown Wake Forest.

🎡 Fair warning! From Oct. 15-25, Route 100 will detour via I-440 and Hillsborough St., skipping stops on Blue Ridge Rd. near Westchase Blvd due to the NC State Fair.

Use the replacement stops at Meredith College and expect delays on Routes 100, CRX and DRX.

GoTriangle will be conducting on-board customer surveys from mid-October through early November to learn more about your experience riding with us. Be on the lookout for the surveyors wearing a blue vest on your bus or at a bus stop/station.

If you have a few minutes, we encourage you to participate and help us improve transit across the Triangle! 💚

🚌 That’s a wrap on !

GoTriangle Interim CEO & President Katharine Eggleston spent the week leaving her car at home and getting around the Triangle by bus and on foot.

Along the way, she experienced the extra planning that can come with getting around without driving, while also seeing the benefits of taking transit.🗺️

Her biggest takeaway? Improving bus frequency, including on weekends, is an important goal in making transit a more convenient option for everyone.

As we reflect on this week, we encourage our riders to keep sharing their experiences with us and anyone who hasn’t tried transit yet to give it a shot.
