🔄 Say hello to a streamlined Route CRX

In proposed February service changes, Route CRX would realign to start and stop all trips at RUS Bus while continuing to serve Boylan Ave, NC State University, Meredith College and District Drive Park & Ride.

Stops on the current loop in Downtown Raleigh would be removed, but riders could use Route 100 or GoRaleigh Route 9 to reach GoRaleigh Station from RUS Bus.

To make that happen, some stops would change:
📍 Route 700 would serve Alexander Dr and NC 54 INSTEAD of Ellis Rd and Miami Blvd
📍 Route 705 would serve Ellis Rd and Miami Blvd INSTEAD of Alexander Dr and NC 54

‼️Weekdays, after 7 PM & Weekends: No route or stop changes

⏱️Routes 700 & 705: New combined 15-minute service between Durham Station and RTC on weekdays before 7 p.m.

📍Route DRX: Stop near GoRaleigh Station on all trips

We’re sharing an important leadership update: GoTriangle President & CEO Dr. Brian Smith will be leaving GoTriangle to return to Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) as its CEO.

Dr. Smith joined GoTriangle in June 2025 and has led the agency through a year of significant growth and progress, including a 33% increase in transit service, the opening of our Raleigh Union Station Bus Facility, immense ridership growth, and expanding GoPass partnerships and new regional transit initiatives.

We’re grateful for Dr. Smith’s leadership, vision and commitment to GoTriangle and the communities we serve. While we’re sad to see him leave, we’re excited for him as he returns to HRT and wish him all the best in this next chapter. 💚
