You’re invited to come celebrate Main Street Station’s 10th birthday!

On Saturday, October 24th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., VRT will be celebrating Main Street Station’s 10th birthday with a free, fun-filled event for the public.

You, your family, and your friends will enjoy classic arcade games, including skee-ball, air hockey, and double-shot basketball, plus a magic mirror photo booth and more, all while inside our underground bus terminal.

You will also have the opportunity to participate in interactive activities and earn prizes!

While you’re there, be sure to check out the new mural!
The art explores the history of transportation in the Treasure Valley, tracing how people have traveled and connected from the earliest days to the present.

Everyone is invited to come downstairs and join us for this birthday celebration, we’d love to see you there!

Riders, it's finally here. Today, October 1st, is Change Day!

Route 30
- Based on low ridership and ready alternatives, 30 Pine will be discontinued.
- Though Route 30 will be discontinued, current riders will be able to continue using Route 45.

Route 40
- will be eliminated from Nampa as a result of the city council's decision to partially fund VRT services.
- Route 40 will start at VRT’s Happy Day Transit Center and go to downtown Caldwell instead of Nampa. It will then use the Franklin Road on-ramp to access I-84 until the Ten Mile exit in Meridian, stopping at the Ten Mile Park & Ride before heading to Boise State.

VRT On-Demand
- will be eliminated from Nampa as a result of the city council's decision to partially fund VRT services.
- Caldwell riders will be able to ride VRT On-Demand in Caldwell and to VRT partner destinations in Nampa, such as St. Luke’s, Saint Alphonsus, and College of Western Idaho (CWI) campuses – including the Main Campus Park & Ride to connect with Route 42.

VRT Access
- With the discontinuation of Route 30 Pine in Meridian, the VRT Access service tied to that route will also be discontinued. VRT’s other paratransit and medical-based service – Beyond Access and Rides2Wellness – will continue to be available.

For all other routes, be sure to check out your usual route schedule at ridevrt.org/routes, as there may be updates to the times and stops.

TOMORROW, October 1st, is Change Day 🚌

We want you to feel as prepared as possible, so we put together this handy if/then guide to help you.

With October service changes approaching, some riders may need to use a different route, make a transfer, or adjust how they make their trip.

Here are a few of the biggest changes to know:

Route 30 riders:
- Route 45 will serve all current Route 30 stops eastbound and all but Hickory & Pine westbound.

Route 40 riders:
- The revised Route 40 will continue connecting Caldwell and Meridian with Downtown Boise, bypassing Nampa. Depending on where your trip starts or ends, Routes 42 and 45 may also be part of your new trip.

Caldwell riders:
- VRT On-Demand will continue serving trips within Caldwell and select destinations in Nampa, including CWI, St. Luke’s Nampa, St. Alphonsus Nampa, and the Amazon Fulfillment Center. Riders can also connect to Route 42 at Happy Day Transit Center for destinations along Nampa/Caldwell Boulevard.

Nampa riders:
- Route 42 will continue serving Nampa/Caldwell Boulevard, while VRT On-Demand will continue connecting CWI campuses and select destinations. Some trips within Nampa will no longer have a general public transit option after the service changes.
- VRT Late Night will be reduced in Nampa. VRT Late Night offers transportation assistance for low-income job access. In partnership with Lyft, Valley Regional Transit offers $3 Lyft rides to and from work for qualified riders.

We’re joining the fun Sunday, September 27, as Catalpa Drive transforms into a car-free community space in the Collister neighborhood.
 
Stop by from 12 to 5 PM to check out the bus, hang out with the VRT team, learn more about the bus, play games, and win prizes. Then explore everything else Open Streets has to offer, like local food, art, live music, and more!
