Plan ahead to attend VRT’s public hearing about service cuts in Nampa, this upcoming TOMORROW, August 4‼️

VRT will conduct a public hearing and open house to receive comments on the removal of all public transit services in Nampa as a result of the Nampa City Council voting to cut VRT funding for services in Nampa.

A presentation and public hearing will begin at 5 p.m. to learn about the proposed changes and provide testimony. VRT staff will be available to discuss changes and answer questions at a drop-in open house beginning at 3:30 p.m.

Open House: 3:30 PM
Public Hearing: 5:00 PM

In-person: Happy Day Transit Center (5907 Cleveland Blvd, Caldwell, ID 83607)

🚌 How to Get There:
Happy Day Transit Center can be accessed with the following VRT routes and services:

🚌 40 Caldwell/Boise Express
🚌 42 Happy Day – Towne Square Mall
🚌 45 Boise State – CWI
🚌 VRT On-Demand
🚌 VRT Access (for those that qualify)
🚌 VRT Beyond Access (for those that qualify)

Attendees that plan to ride on VRT On-Demand, Access, or Beyond Access after the meeting should contact VRT Customer Service to book their trip. Rides will be provided after the public hearing ends. Rides must be booked by 5 PM Monday, August 3rd. VRT Customer Service: 208-345-7433

At their July 15 budget workshop, the Nampa City Council voted to cut all funding for VRT from the FY2027 budget. This cut eliminates all public transit services in Nampa, including Route 40, Route 42, VRT On-Demand, and Access, effective October 12th.

Thank you to the hundreds of fans who rode VRT to Banana Ball. We loved being part of the fun and helping everyone get to The Blue.

Tonight was bananas! Our buses to Banana Ball at The Blue tonight were packed for today's game. We added buses to keep people moving once the crowds grew, but want to thank the hundreds of fans who rode VRT today and waited for the next bus to get to Albertsons Stadium.

We'll be adding more buses tomorrow to keep you moving -- get service info and track your bus at ridevrt.org/banana.

Don’t drive yourself bananas looking for parking. Take the bus to Banana Ball! 🍌⚾
 
🍌💙 VRT is making it easy to get to Banana Ball on The Blue with free bus service for all ticketholders, along with extended service hours and Park & Ride options for convenient access.
 
🍌🚌 VRT’s routes 2 and 29 are ideal choices to get you to and from The Blue. We’ll also be extending service and adding buses to the evening trips to help you get home safely.
 
🍌🗓️ VRT will run regular service on these routes all day, with additional service at the end of the game for up to an hour.
 
Park for FREE at one of our Park + Ride locations and get dropped off right next to Albertsons Stadium:

• Towne Square Mall P+R then hop on Route 29 Overland
• Timberline High School (temporary P+R) then hop on Route 2 Broadway

When do the buses run, you ask?
 
Friday, July 31: Last bus departs Albertsons Stadium at 10:30 p.m.
Saturday, August 1: Last bus departs Albertsons Stadium at 9:30 p.m.
