While frequency multiplexers find a great many applications in passive filtering and channelization, the most fundamental of these, the diplexer, is often utilized as a splitter and combiner for MMIC power amplifier chains. Compared to traditional power splitters and combiners, multiplexers split and recombine signals of disparate frequencies, affording lower loss as well as inherent filtering that is not present in their power splitting/combining counterparts. This article discusses suspended substrate diplexers, how they are applied in the Wi-Fi realm, and the merits of their usage in an airborne SATCOM application. Both applications show designs wherein diplexers combine different frequency bands to yield a composite signal at the common port.

Enjoyed meeting up with our friends at at Metrotech Plaza in earlier this week to witness their pioneering research in channel modeling.

The FR1 band channel sounder module featured here was developed at our Deer Park Technology Center as part of our ongoing collaboration to support next-generation wireless research. Seeing the system operating live in the field, outside the lab and surrounded by the energy of the city, was an incredibly rewarding moment for our team.

Excited to continue pushing the boundaries of what’s possible together.

This article explores the behavior of the anti-parallel series pair limiter topology in both the time and frequency domains. We'll dive deep into the architecture along with the attributes of the RN779D PIN diodes, and examine the response curve when power is swept from small signal into compression to compare the compressed output level to the RF input power. Finally, measured harmonic content for linear operation in the frequency domain is compared with saturated operation, paying particular attention to the odd harmonic levels. Read more on our blog to refresh your understanding of this vital component in modern RF systems.

Mini-Circuits hosted a unique Textured Paint & Sip event, bringing teammates together for an evening of art, conversation, and inspiration. From guided painting sessions to shared laughs over charcuterie boards and beverages, the atmosphere was filled with creativity and positive energy.

It was incredible seeing everyone step away from their daily routines, express themselves through art, and create something uniquely their own. Events like these reflect the culture at Mini-Circuits — a company that values not only innovation and excellence, but also community, collaboration, and employee experience.

A wonderful experience and hopefully the beginning of many more creative moments together. 🎨🍷✨
