I had the opportunity to film for 3W Auto Life and Brett Dickey at the Trail Breaker Challenge during Trail Hero and it did not disappoint!

Being on track with these incredible rigs and the excitement this event had was amazing and I would love to come back next year to be involved again.

Have you been on this trail?

Woolsey Springs trail winds between Signal Mountain Wilderness and Woolsey Peak Wilderness, two protected areas where motor vehicles aren't allowed.

This remote trail in the Sonoran Desert requires a state land trust permit, but well worth your time if you are into beautiful desert scenery.

The farther you get away from everyday life, the easier it is to stop thinking about what's next and just enjoy where you are.

Maybe that's why we keep wanting to come back.

A Toyota can take you just about anywhere… but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have a backup plan.

You never know when a vehicle might break down, get stuck, or just decide it’s having a bad day.

Before you head out, make sure you:

1. Bring plenty of water. 1 gallon per person per day
2. Have a way to communicate, like a satellite
communicator. I use ZOLEOlife USA
3. Tell someone where you’re going, always
4. And keep a reliable recovery company’s number handy
like Wild West Recovery

Being prepared isn’t about expecting something to go wrong. It’s about knowing what to do if it does.

Public lands belong to all of us. So let’s get out and enjoy them.

For National Public Lands Day, we’re teaming up with AZ 4Runner Outsiders , ADV Designs | Offroad Parts ,AZ TunePro , and onX Offroad | Off-Roading Navigation App for a day on the trails in the Sierra Ancha Wilderness.

We’re putting together 3 different trail runs:
Beginner - Aztec Peak
Intermediate - NDR 488
Advanced - Angel Wings 35s minimum & no full size

Different trails. Different skill levels. Same goal, get outside, meet good people, and enjoy the places that make Arizona special.

With all your offroad gear, are you over on payload capacity?

We spend so much time adding gear to our rigs that it's easy to forget how quickly the weight adds up.

Switching to light weight aluminum skid plates from ASFIR offroad means less weight on the rig and more room for gear you actually want to carry.

When's the last time you checked your vehicle weight?
