Meet Davon. 👋❤️

Five years ago, a wait for the 44 O’Shaughnessy turned into something Davon never expected: meeting his partner.

They struck up a conversation at the bus stop, hit it off during that first trip and have been together ever since.
It’s one reason the 44 remains Davon’s favorite line—but his history with the route goes back even further.

He rode it during his high school years, connecting from Glen Park BART to school, friends and different parts of the city.

For Davon, Muni has always meant connection and independence—the ability to decide where you want to go and get there on your own.

“It showed me how many connections I could make out here just by simply riding the bus.”

One of those connections just happened to last five years and counting. ❤️

🎟️ This weekend, San Francisco’s very own pro women’s basketball squad is headed to the WNBA Finals. And we wanted to remind you that your ticket to any Chase Center event is also your Muni fare.

We celebrated Filipino American History Month Wednesday with an event that focused on community and “kapwa,” or the concept of shared humanity.

San Francisco is home to one of the most vibrant Filipino American communities, and we were proud to honor their history and culture with a cable car ride that brought people together.

Thank you to Longfellow Elementary School, their staff, and the Filipino World Language in Elementary Schools (WLES) program. We also want to give a huge shout out to the Filipino American Arts Exposition and Adonis Eats for being a part of this year's event.

Seniors (65+), people with qualifying disabilities and people with low incomes may be eligible for a 50% discount on transit. Seniors or people with disabilities who live in San Francisco may also qualify for free Muni.
