A new website has been created to assist Daniel Wheeler in identifying interested Purchased Medallion Owners for participation in the campaign to obtain Medallion Loan Debt Relief from the San Francisco Federal Credit Union and the SFMTA.

If you purchased a taxi medallion with a loan from San Francisco Credit Union, you may be eligible to have your debt cancelled. Submit your information today.

The membership of the San Francisco Taxi Workers Alliance is saddened to hear of the passing of Larry Mazzola, Sr. As President of the SFO Commission, he was sympathetic to taxi drivers and offered solutions to address taxi issues. We are grateful to have benefited from his dedication to working people. We send our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends, especially to Plumbers Union Local 38. May his legacy live on.

The Airport Commission today adjourned its meeting at City Hall in memory of its long-time former president, Larry Mazzola, Sr. (1943-May 2, 2026). He served as an officer on the Labor Council and head of the Plumbers union. He also showed sympathy to a number of issues the taxi industry and its drivers brought before the Commission. "It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Labor Giant, Larry Mazzola, Sr. Larry was a member of the Labor Council's executive committee and an elected vice president of our Council for decades. His leadership and larger-than-life personality will be sorely missed.

There will be a memorial for Larry on Friday, May 8 at 10 AM at Saint Mary's in San Francisco.
