The 2026 End of the School Year Family Day is truly one for the books. ❤️
Every year, our transportation department comes together at the end of the school year for a special day where drivers, monitors, mechanics, office staff, and our families can slow down for a little while and simply enjoy being together. After spending an entire school year waking up before daylight, running routes, solving problems, and taking care of students, this day gives us a chance to celebrate not just the work we do, but the people beside us who help make it all possible.
It’s also a time to honor our retirees the ones who have dedicated years of their lives to this department and helped shape it into the family it is today. Seeing generations of transportation employees together, sharing stories, laughter, and memories, is something really special.
Pulling off an event this big takes a lot of teamwork, and once again our amazing association members showed what this transportation family is all about. From the food to the activities to making sure every child had a smile on their face, so much love and hard work went into this day. The huge waterslide was a huge hit with the kids and yes, even a few drivers couldn’t resist joining in on the fun!
But more than anything, days like this remind us that we are more than coworkers. We are a family. We celebrate together, support each other through hard days, laugh together through the stressful ones, and somehow always find a way to make it through another school year side by side.
What an amazing day full of fun, fellowship, memories, and love with our transportation family and the perfect reminder of why we do what we do as we head into these final 3 days of the school year together. ❤️
