"The relationship with the water Eagle Island Lodge, A Belmond Safari is unique. Always something going on. Birds, hippos, elephant and one night a leopard crept past us at dinner on the deck. Marco and I saw wild dogs, bat-eared foxes, red lechwe, tsessebe, giraffe, wildebeest, crocodiles and more leopards.

We got out on the water every way you can: speedboat, mokoro, and barge, and each one gave us a completely different view of the Delta. If you're going to do Botswana properly, you need both land and water, and Eagle Island gives you that from one camp - we'd say stay four nights to really soak it in.

A wonderful Botswana experience, we can't recommend it enough."
