Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) participated in the 2026 Uprising Race cycling event in Soweto, as part of the passenger mobilisation campaign.

The activation provided an opportunity to engage the local community, raise awareness about air travel and make aviation feel more accessible, especially for first-time flyers.

Through community-based activations, ACSA continues to bring aviation closer to more South Africans.

50 years later, their courage continues to live on through a new generation of young South Africans who are pursuing opportunities, building skills and shaping the future.

Across ACSA, young people are carrying this legacy forward and helping build the future of aviation, one dream at a time.

As we commemorate 50 years since the 16 June Youth Uprising, we remember their fight for education, equality and a better future.

The training enhances safety and strengthens emergency response across airport environments.

Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) took part in the National African Federation for the Building Industry Stakeholder Engagement Forum at Gallagher Convention Centre, contributing to discussions on the role of state-owned companies in infrastructure development, economic growth, transformation and social cohesion.
Representing ACSA, Ms Khanyisa Nkuna, Group Manager: Infrastructure and Property Development, highlighted the importance of strategic infrastructure investment for driving sustainable development and improving connectivity across South Africa.
