The transport industry can be tough.
Long hours. Long distances. Early starts. Late finishes.
Nights away from home.. And plenty of time sitting alone behind the wheel with your own thoughts.
Sometimes the bloke or lady sitting in the truck next to you at the depot, fuel stop or truck bay might be doing it tougher than you realise.
So today, R U OK?
Not just a quick “you right?” as you walk past, actually ask. And if someone says they’re not, take the time to listen.
You don't need to have all the answers. Sometimes just knowing someone cares and is willing to listen can make a massive difference.
To all the truck drivers out there across Australia, whether you're doing local runs, interstate linehaul, livestock, tankers, refrigerated freight, tipper work or anything in between:
Look after yourself. Look after your mates. And don't be afraid to speak up. 💛
