12 months of waiting to get my home back… and this was how it was returned to me. 😭

When the boat finally went back into the water, I thought one of the worst periods of my life was finally coming to an end.

Then I started looking properly.

Poor workmanship, unfinished jobs… and someone had even written a phone number across the beautiful original woodwork I’d chosen to keep. I was absolutely gutted.

I gave the boatyard another 48 hours to put things right. Eventually I’d had enough. I wanted my home back.

So the boys came aboard, we settled back in and I finally put up my Gone Sailing sign. ❤️⚓️

After everything we’d been through, surely this was finally our happy ending?

We made it to Ballyconnell… and then something else went wrong. 🤦‍♀️

A safari… but make it in the sky! 🐺🦒🐘🦁✨

Hundreds of drones transformed the night sky into a whole host of animals at Space Safari how incredible is this?!

From a howling wolf and slithering snake to blinking giraffes, elephants and warthogs, I genuinely couldn’t decide which one I loved most.

🇬🇧✈️ THE RED ARROWS OVER ENNISKILLEN! ✈️🇬🇧

Well, that was quite a view from home! 😍

The Red Arrows flew right over the River Erne this afternoon on their way to the flypast at St Angelo Airport and I couldn’t have asked for a better spot to watch them from my narrowboat.

Turn the sound up you can hear them coming before they appear!

Enniskillen Castle, the River Erne, my floating home and the Red Arrows. What a moment. ❤️🤍💙

🚤 DARE TO EXPLORE LOUGH ERNE… a little faster?

I swapped my narrowboat for a RIB and headed out onto Lough Erne for a very different kind of day on the water!

We cruised the lough, stopped for a swim, cracked open some alcohol-free birthday fizz 🥂 and found a jetty for a picnic before speeding back home.

You can hire a RIB from Erne Tours for either a half day or full day, so you can head off and explore Lough Erne for yourself.

🚐 Travelling by campervan?
You can park at Round O Jetty in Enniskillen — use the parking area on the left BEFORE the height barrier.
