We are incredibly excited to offer our first community event and encourage everyone to come be silly with us next weekend.. Saturday, October 17th, we invite you all to join us for the first annual Community Costume Ride! 👻🍂

We will meet at the bike shop in town square at 5pm and start the ride shortly after, likely around 5:30. This will be a short, parade-style ride through town, so there is no pressure to put in a ton of miles and nobody will be left behind. We will announce the route soon so folks can step outside and see everyone's costumes if they want! Don't have a costume? Who cares, join us anyway! Don't have a bike? We can get you set up with a rental. Give us a call if you'd like to arrange that. The goal is simply to get people out riding together.

All ages are welcome! This is not meant to replace trick or treating, although we have goody bags for the kids. 🎃 For the adults, our good friends and neighbors at Trailhead Brewing Company and Tissue Farm are offering a choice of one free beverage to participants. (Must be 21+ to claim a b**r of course 😉). We hope to see all of our friends and community members next Saturday for this silly, spooky ride!

Happy October, everyone! As the season begins to wind down, we are adjusting our hours slightly. Instead of the reduced hours, we will be fully closed on Tuesdays starting tomorrow, October 6th. For the remainder of the season, that puts our hours as such:

- Thursday through Monday, 9am-5pm
- Tuesday & Wednesday, closed

We have 4 Aventon Level.2s we are retiring from out rental fleet and are putting up for sale. Mileage and frame sizes vary, but all of them are going for $1100 for just the bike -or- $1200 for the bike plus a brand new spare battery ($450 value!!) Come check 'em out!

It's been a crazy, fast-moving, and busy Labor Day weekend here at the Cyclery, so we didn't get many pictures - but here is a super fun group of riders from Virginia and West Virginia who came through today! 🎉 Thanks to everyone for stopping in.

Happy September everyone! With all the kids returning to school and a nice chill in the air most mornings, we are shifting into Fall mode over at the Cyclery! 🍂 In the last 2 months of our season, we are getting pretty serious about selling some bikes to make room for fun, new things to come next year.. If you've ever wanted to buy a bike out of our rental fleet, now is your time! We are selling both conventional AND e-bikes from our rental fleet as well as tons of brand new bikes from last year's stock. Here is a short summary of what we have:

Used rental bikes:
- Primarily selling off our Aventon Level.2s and the Fuji E-Crosstowns. We also have tons of conventional peddle bikes from KHS and Fuji - hybrids, cruisers, etc! Prices variable based on mileage/number of times they've been rented.

New:
- We still have some brand new bikes from KHS, Fuji, Tuesday, and more! These hybrids, cruisers, and mountain bikes are priced to sell 😉

While excluded from this particular sale, we of course still have plenty of new Cannondale, Jamis, Aventon, and 3-wheeled recumbent bikes ready for their new homes as well!

Give us a call or come visit us in the shop if you're looking to purchase something listed here! Sale starts now and runs until we either sell out of bikes or we close after Halloween. 🎃

Today we met George, who came all the way from Perth, Australia! He is having the most epic adventure right now riding from Los Angeles across the country to DC so he could fully experience all of the states. We loved hearing about the hospitality shown to him along the way and even found out that some folks we know "adopted" him for a few days in Morgantown, WV! What a small world! Wishing George a fantastic time during the rest of his trip here in the US. 🎉
