Things to Do on the Oregon Coast June 6, 2026

Nehalem Bay Crab Derby
Rockaway Beach

Kelly’s Brighton Marina will release tagged crabs in the morning for this annual fundraising derby. Participants try to catch as many tagged crabs as possible and return them to the marina by 5:00 p.m. for a chance to win prizes, including a $1,000 grand prize. Entry is $10, with proceeds benefiting local nonprofit organizations.

State Parks Day

June 6 is State Parks Day in Oregon. More than 50 state parks across Oregon will waive day use parking fees for visitors.

Short Circuit 40th Anniversary

Blessing of the Dory Fleet

This longtime Pacific City tradition honors local dory fishermen and offers a blessing for the fleet before the busy summer season. The event takes place at the Cape Kiwanda Day Use Parking Area, where parking fees will be waived for State Parks Day.

First Saturday Art Walk
Seaside | 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Celebrating 22 years in 2026, the Seaside First Saturday Art Walk is a free community event held in the Historic Gilbert District between Holladay and Broadway. Visitors can explore local galleries, meet artists, and enjoy an evening of art and culture.
