ur great value rover ticket that is valid for unlimited travel allowing you to hop on and off all day! There’s lots of other activities as well, including meals aboard The North Norfolkman, education days and numerous special events throughout the year. This is all helped by our supporting charity, The Midland & Great Northern Joint Railway Society. We're very excited to be able to officially announce that Furness Railway No 20 is due to join us for our Autumn Steam Gala on 24 - 25 October.

Built in 1863, No 20 is Britain's oldest working steam locomotive and will be paired with our very our Victorian carriages ... meaning that you will be able to enjoy unlimited travel on a whole train that dates from the 19th century!

If you visited during our Festival on Rails today, you may have travelled on a train hauled by a very special crew!

Our Victorian Train was worked by father and son team, Alan and Alex, who spent their first day together on the footplate as fireman and driver respectively

Usually the pair can be found working in our Running Shed, but today they enjoyed the beautiful north Norfolk views ... and with son, Alex, in charge as driver!

The weather may have been mixed today but we’ve been enjoying this year’s Festival on Rails… and there’s still 4 more days to go!

Enjoy unlimited travel behind 3 historic trains each day plus all day entertainment at each of our stations with trails, interactive signalling at Reedham Junction, the William Marriott Museum and more.
